Batman To The Rescue
.I just can’t resist linking to Glenn Beck lauding The Dark Knight as a film vindicating Bush’s policies. Somehow I missed Andrew Klavan doing the same in the Wall Street Journal a couple of weeks ago… and reading it now simply makes my head hurt.
Seeing those arguments (if they can be called that) in print makes them seem worse than they do on television. The combination of utter vacuity and risible confidence is almost overwhelming.
Also, when Klavan wonders at conservative movie-makers having to “put on a mask” to show off their values, I can’t help but think of Watchmen‘s New Frontiersman headline “Honor is like the Hawk: Sometimes it must go Hooded.”
